Following up on the evaluation findings, the European Commission is preparing an impact assessment to explore how to strengthen Eurojust’s mandate mandate, enabling it to respond more effectively to the evolving and international dimensions of organised crime and hybrid threats through an amendment of the founding instrument.

Eurojust is also working to establish a Vision for Eurojust 2035. The Consultative Forum discussed this document in March 2026, with the final adoption expected in May 2026.
