1.2. Case workload

Since 2020, Eurojust’s case workload has increased by almost 60%, with the Agency handling approximately 8 799 cases in 2020 compared to nearly 14 000 in 2025.

Close to 5 600 new cases were opened in 2025, while more than 8 300 cases from previous years continued to receive legal, analytical, logistical and financial support from the Agency.

The high number of ongoing cases reflects the sustained support required for many of the increasingly complex investigations that Eurojust has handled over the years.
