
Just three weeks following the full-scale invasion by Russia in 2022, Eurojust supported the establishment of a JIT on alleged core international crimes committed in Ukraine. On 29 February 2024, the JIT agreement was prolonged for two more years. In-between, Eurojust and its partners set up a complex support system for Ukraine-related investigations, including the Core International Crimes Evidence Database (CICED) and the International Centre for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine (ICPA). This timeline shows the milestones of the two years.
