This Joint Paper document was developed to inform judicial practitioners in the Members States of the services and assistance in international cooperation in criminal matters that can be provided by the European Judicial Network (EJN) and Eurojust. The objective of the document is to assist practitioners in deciding whether cases should be dealt with by the EJN or Eurojust. It also ensures that both the EJN and Eurojust will deal with cases falling within their mandates, by using time and resources efficiently and effectively and preventing duplication of work. The document was initially drafted in 2014, and updated in 2018; translations to other EU official languages exist for the previous versions.
