Commenting on her election as Vice-President by her fellow National Members, Margarita Šniutytė-Daugėlienė said: 'Being re-elected as Vice-President of Eurojust by my colleagues is both a great honour and a significant responsibility. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to continuing our shared work over the next four years, at a pivotal moment for the Agency following the revision of the Eurojust Regulation, which further strengthens Eurojust’s role in delivering justice across borders.

Together, we will continue supporting Member States in tackling increasingly complex cross-border criminal networks and in investigating and prosecuting core international crimes. We will also further strengthen cooperation with EU institutions, partner agencies, international organisations, and judicial authorities worldwide.

Through this joint effort, we remain committed to ensuring effective justice and reinforcing the rule of law within and beyond the European Union.'

The Presidency Team is elected from among the National Members during an election in one of the College meetings. Margarita Šniutytė-Daugėlienė will continue to work together with President and National Member for Austria, Michael Schmid and Vice-President and National Member for Spain, José de la Mata.
