The JITs Practical Guide is one of the most important resources for JIT practitioners, providing information, guidance and advice on the setting up and operation of joint investigation teams (JITs).
The Guide was developed by the EU Network of National Experts on Joint Investigation Teams (JITs Network) in cooperation with the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust), the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) and the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF).
The first version of the Practical Guide was published in March 2017, based on the practical experience acquired until then. In December 2021, the Guide was updated to reflect legislative changes affecting the cooperation in JITs and to address recent developments in the setting up and operation of JITs.
The most up-to-date version of the Guide (2021) is available in English only. Please go to this page, scroll down to “Downloads”, and click on “Download”.
The 2017 version of the Guide is available in all EU languages. Please scroll down, select your language version from the drop-down menu, and click on “Download”.
