The growing use of digital technologies by criminals to carry out their illicit activities has created a pressing need for judicial and law enforcement authorities to develop effective and efficient methods for collecting electronic evidence.
As part of the new EU Electronic Evidence legislative package, the European Production and Preservation Orders will help address this need and will enable swift and efficient preservation and collection of electronic evidence.
This leaflet summarises the operational and strategic support that Eurojust, the SIRIUS project, the European Judicial Network and the European Judicial Cybercrime Network can provide to practitioners in the use of these new legal tools.
