Following a proposal from the European Commission, endorsed by the Ministers of Justice from all EU Member States, the European Judicial Organised Crime Network (EJOCN) was officially launched in September 2024 with a broad and flexible mandate to address all judicial aspects of the fight against organised crime, with an initial focus on drug trafficking via European ports and other logistical hubs.
These guidelines provide information on the EJOCN objectives and guiding principles. They detail its functional scope linked to its strategic, analytical and operational dimensions; alongside practical items including composition, structure, meetings, and working language. They were adopted at the EJOCN plenary meeting held on 19 and 20 March 2025.
