
On 20-21 November 2024, Eurojust hosted its eighth annual meeting on migrant smuggling. The event brought together practitioners from a number of Member States, non-EU countries, Western Balkan countries and EU southern partner countries. It provided a platform for identifying operational challenges, exchanging innovative ideas and sharing best practices. This year, the conversations focused around the issues related to unaccompanied minors as migrants, the phenomenon of migrant smuggling in the digital space, and the emerging trends and advancements in casework from the countries involved.
