Eurojust is the European Union's Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation. It was started in 2002 and is fully focused on providing practical support to investigators, prosecutors and judges from different countries. Judicial practitioners come to Eurojust for support in a wide range of criminal investigations, including investigations of fraud, money laundering, corruption, trafficking in human beings, drug trafficking, migrant smuggling, cybercrime and terrorism.
In 2019, prosecutors from across the European Union and beyond turned to Eurojust for tailormade operational support in nearly 8 000 cross-border criminal investigations.
Eurojust operates from custom-built premises in The Hague, The Netherlands, which feature secure meeting facilities and a coordination centre from which international action days can be monitored in real time.
