The European Judicial Cybercrime Network (EJCN) celebrated its 10th anniversary during its 20th Plenary Meeting, bringing together EJCN members, institutional partners, observer states and key stakeholders from across Europe.
A central part of the plenary was a high-level panel discussion dedicated to the work and evolution of the network over the past decade. Former EJCN Coordinators, representatives from the European Commission (DG JUST and DG HOME), and members of Eurojust’s Cybercrime Working Group discussed the network’s achievements, challenges and future priorities in the fight against cybercrime. For the first time, the EJCN welcomed Interpol, EL PAcCTO and CiberRed.
As usual, the second day of the meeting focused on the activities of EJCN members and observer states. Dedicated subgroup sessions provided updates on data retention, e-evidence, artificial intelligence, crypto-assets and training. EJCN members and observer states also discussed and formally approved the EJCN Work Plan 2026–2027 and the updated EJCN Guidelines. The Chair of the Cybercrime Working Group also provided participants with an update on e-evidence-related developments at Eurojust.
