Eurojust and Georgia signed a Cooperation Agreement in March 2019, with the first Liaison Prosecutor Giorgi Gorgadze taking up his duties in June 2020 and ending in October 2025.

In 2024, the Georgian Liaison Prosecutor was involved in 70 new cases, 10 coordination meetings, 1 coordination centre, and 3 joint investigation teams.
