Eurojust and Serbia signed a Cooperation Agreement in November 2019, with the first Liaison Prosecutor Gordana Janićijević taking up her duties in March 2020.

In 2022, the Serbian Liaison Prosecutor was involved in 81 new cases, 41 coordination meetings, 1 coordination centre, and 3 joint investigation teams.

Liaison Prosecutor

Gordana Janićijević took up her duties as Liaison Prosecutor for Serbia at Eurojust in March 2020. For more than seven years before starting in her new role as Liaison Prosecutor, Ms Janićijević was involved in the cooperation with Eurojust in the capacity of the Eurojust Contact Point for the Prosecution Service of the Republic of Serbia. She has been working with the Prosecution Service for 25 years, elected as Deputy Republic Public Prosecutor and appointed as Head of the Department for International Cooperation and Mutual Legal Assistance of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. Ms Janićijević is strongly dedicated to training prosecutors in the area of mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and participated as lecturer and expert in several trainings, regional and international conferences, and expert missions.
