The Czech Desk is headed by Pavel Zeman, who is the National Member for the Czech Republic since March 2025.

In 2025, the Czech Desk was involved in 282 new cases, 45 coordination meetings, 2 coordination centres and 45 joint investigation teams.

Mr Zeman

Pavel Zeman was appointed National Member for the Czech Republic at Eurojust in March 2025. Mr Zeman joined the agency for a second term, having previously served as the first Czech National Member following the country’s accession to the European Union in 2004.

From 2011 until 2021, he was Prosecutor General of the Czech Republic. Subsequently, he became a specialised prosecutor in cybercrime, the criminal liability of legal entities and war crimes. He lectures on cybercrime, corporate liability, plea bargaining, judicial ethics and war crimes. He also provides training to prosecutors on media-related matters.

Mr Zeman graduated in Law at the Charles University of Prague in 1998 and became a public prosecutor in 2001. He remains affiliated with Prague Charles University as well as a lecturer at the Czech and Slovak judicial academies. In addition to his mother tongue, Mr Zeman speaks English, German, French, Slovak and Russian.

Deputy National Member

Lukáš Starý is the Deputy National Member for the Czech Republic.

Seconded National Expert

Gabriela Hladíková , Public Prosecutor of the Municipal PPO in Brno, joined the Czech Desk for the period of 1 November 2025 until 30 April 2026.

Taťána Dvořáková is National Desk Administrative Assistant since May 2023.
