Criminal group dismantled who stole over 7000 artefacts
A criminal group in Bulgaria is suspected of stealing thousands of artefacts across Europe, including from museums and trafficking them from Bulgaria to other European countries. Yesterday, authorities from six countries worked together with Eurojust and Europol to arrest 35 members of the criminal group and search over 125 locations to recover over 3 000 artefacts with an estimated worth of over EUR 100 million.
