Arrests and searches in light of human trafficking investigation

Authorities took action in the Netherlands and Romania yesterday in the context of a human trafficking investigation. Both countries work together in a joint investigation team coordinated by Eurojust. During the actions, four suspects were arrested in Amsterdam, including in the red-light district and three suspects were detained in Romania simultaneously. Twelve searches took place in both countries, where information and evidence were gathered.
