Eurojust is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Nikolaos Ornerakis as the new National Member for Greece at Eurojust. Mr Ornerakis officially took up his duties at Eurojust on 10 September. Prior to joining Eurojust, he was a Public Prosecutor with the Court of First Instance in Athens, where he primarily dealt with cases of organised crime and cybercrime.
Mr Ornerakis began his career with the Athens Bar Association after obtaining a law degree from the University of Athens. Mr Ornerakis said the following on his appointment as National Member: “My appointment as the National Member for Greece at Eurojust is a very important moment in my life and my career. The opportunity to work and cooperate with prosecutors at the highest level from across Europe is a unique honour.
