On 1 March 2011, Mrs Ingrid Maschl-Clausen was appointed National Member for Austria at Eurojust.
The former National Member for Austria, Mrs Ursula Koller, has returned to the Austrian judiciary.
Mrs Maschl-Clausen was Deputy National Member for Austria at Eurojust from March 2010 to February 2011. She has worked as a judge and a prosecutor since 2001. From June 2003 to June 2006, she was seconded as a National Expert to the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union. In June 2006, she became Justice Counsellor and Head of the Justice Unit at the Austrian Permanent Representation to the European Union. She joined Eurojust as a Senior Legal Officer in November 2008.
Ms Maschl-Clausen commented: “It is a great honour to have been appointed National Member. I thank my home authorities and the members of the Austrian desk at Eurojust for their trust. I am very happy that I will be able to use in my new function the professional experience that I gathered in the past as Deputy to the Austrian National Member."
