On 7 September 2017, the Deputy National Police Commissioner, Sanna Heikinheimo, the Assistant National Police Commissioner, Marja Kartila, both of the National Police Board, and Mikko Salminen, Head of the Finnish Liaison Bureau at Europol, visited Eurojust.
Michèle Coninsx, President of Eurojust, together with Piia Vottonen, the National Member for Finland, received the delegation. On the agenda were recent developments in the field of counter-terrorism, as well as the future of Eurojust.

Ms Heikinheimo was appointed Deputy National Police Commissioner in July 2017, and in this capacity leads the Police Operations Unit. Before her current position, Ms Heikinheimo worked as Police Director at the Ministry of the Interior in charge of the police planning unit..
