Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Sanja Štiglic, paid a courtesy visit to Eurojust and met with the President, Ladislav Hamran.
Ambassador Štiglic also met with the National Member for Slovenia, Boštjan Škrlec, Assistant to the National Member for Slovenia, Boštjan Lamešič, as well as the Head of the Genocide Network Secretariat, Matevž Pezdirc. The purpose of the visit was to familiarise herself with the work of Eurojust as an international organisation and its operational capacity in the fight against terrorism and serious organised crime.
H.E. Sanja Štiglic served in several diplomatic posts before her current appointment. After obtaining a degree in law from the University of Ljubljana, she started her diplomatic career as an Attaché at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Slovenia’s Embassy in Zagreb. During the course of her career, she has also served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Slovenia to the United Nations.
