Yesterday, 17 high-ranking police officers, composed of officials of the Lithuanian Police, Latvian State Police and Estonian Police and Border Guard Service, paid a study visit to Eurojust in the context of the Development of Integrated Information Exchange Platform (EXPLAT) Project. The delegation was led by the Police Commissioner General of Lithuania, Mr Linas Pernavas, and the Head of the Lithuanian Criminal Police Bureau, Mr Rolandas Kiškis.
The guests were welcomed by the President of Eurojust, Ms Michèle Coninsx, and the National Member for Lithuania, Ms Laima Čekelienė, together with the National Member for Latvia, Mr Gunars Bundzis, and the National Member for Estonia, Mr Raivo Sepp. After presentations on Eurojust’s role and tools to enhance judicial cooperation, and on successful cross-border cases and relations with third States, an interactive discussion among the participants took place.
