Yesterday, Eurojust hosted a delegation of eight members of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan, supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Mr Klaus Meyer-Cabri, Vice-President of Eurojust and National Member for Germany, and Mr Josip Čule, National Member for Croatia and member of the Eurojust External Relations Team, hosted the visit and gave presentations on the role of Eurojust in judicial cooperation and coordination as well as relations with third States. Mr Ola Löfgren, Secretary to the European Judicial Network, and Mr Florin-Răzvan Radu, Seconded National Expert, gave presentations on the role of the European Judicial Network (EJN), the EJN website and its practical tools.
Some common threats and challenges faced by the European Union and the Republic of Tajikistan include the prevention and fight against cross-border crimes such as drug trafficking, arms trafficking, illegal immigrant smuggling and THB.
