Following the success of last year’s strategic meeting on cybercrime, Eurojust hosted a tactical meeting devoted to territoriality in cyberspace and admissibility of e-evidence on 1 July in The Hague.
The tactical meeting gathered experts in the field of cybercrime from 28 Member States, Norway, the United States of America, as well as representatives of the private sector. The participants discussed the need for early involvement of judicial authorities in cybercrime investigations and prosecutions. In addition, cooperation between judicial authorities and the private sector was addressed.
The afternoon session focused on the main challenges in cybercrime cases based on input from the participants.
The meeting was highly appreciated by the experts, who again stressed the added value of Eurojust in supporting the Member States in combating cybercrime.
