Impact, challenges and solutions
The European Commission adopted a Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on Eurojust with the goal of improving its legal framework and, ultimately, strengthening Eurojust in the fight against cross-border crime.
The Eurojust seminar will take place on 14 and 15 October 2013 in The Hague. It will provide a forum for representatives of the national authorities of the Member States, EU institutions, academics and Eurojust to exchange views on a variety of topics and to examine the questions raised by the Proposal.
Workshops are designed to generate debate and will focus on the following areas: structure and governance of Eurojust, tasks, competences and powers, relations with partners and third States, and relations between Eurojust and a future European Public Prosecutor’s Office.
