Ms Coninsx attends sixth meeting of the Network of Public Prosecutors or equivalent institutions at the Supreme Judicial Courts of the Member States of the European Union in Kraków, Poland.
The meeting, which was held from 15-17 May, was entitled Synergies and responses: challenges for integration of the future European Public Prosecutor’s Office into legal frameworks of the Member States of the European Union, and focused on institutional aspects of the future European Public Prosecutor’s Office and its relationship to national institutions. Ms Coninsx made a presentation entitled Creating synergies – the European Public Prosecutor's Office in the landscape of judicial cooperation during the first plenary session, outlining the life cycle of an EPPO Protection des intérêts financiers (PIF) case and the possible synergies with Eurojust: sharing of expertise and experience, utilising Eurojust’s coordination tools, and building on operational and administrative resources already in existence in The Hague. The meeting was held under the auspices of the Prosecutor General of Poland, Mr Andrzej Seremet. In addition to Prosecutors General, distinguished guests included representatives from the Commission and the Council as well as academics.
