Corporate Communications Unit

​The Corporate Communications Office is Eurojust's principal external communication point for establishing contact with and receiving enquiries from the media, interested citizens and relations with communication actors of other EU Agencies.

The Office provides support to both the College and the Administration of Eurojust. It drafts and publishes press releases, and news items in cooperation with the National Desks and administrative units, on behalf of Eurojust. It also organises press interviews with College members by national and international media on particular cases and Eurojust in general, as well as media briefings.

Media Relations

The Head of Corporate Communications Office regularly attends Eurojust seminars, organising media meetings, and is dealing with the media. As a member of Nieuwspoort, BPV (Foreign Press Association of the Netherlands), the Head of Corporate Communications Office attends meetings with the international press.

The Corporate Communications Office maintains an extensive database of photographs, taken during in-house meetings/visits as well as external events, and ,may provide video footage of Eurojust when requested by TV stations. Much of the graphic design, photo editing and publications layout work is done within the Service.

External relations

The Corporate Communications Office liaises with different EU-actors and communicators in Justice and Home Affairs. Additionally, group visits are often hosted at Eurojust, many of which are given a presentation on Eurojust’s role and tasks by the Press & PR Service, sometimes in cooperation with the External Relations Team.

Website and media requests
Both the intranet and the public website are managed by The Corporate Communications Office, as is the Info and media-mailboxes, where all requests from the public are directed. Media can also channel their questions through this online form.
The interested public and judicial practitioners are invited to sign up to press releases, or, additionally, click here to follow also the news items, through RSS.
In terms of publications, the Corporate Communications Office issues a newsletter, Eurojust News, (to subscribe please click here and the Annual Report and other corporate publications. Proofreading is carried out by the Office to assist non-native English speakers in drafting official documents.
The Library is part of the corporate communications area and assists by performing the following tasks:
  • Provide appropriate and updated information sources.
  • Manage the physical and online library.
  • Explore partnership with other documentation centres of interest.
  • Set up and manage repositories of legal documents and databases as appropriate.
  • Regularly inquire into post-holders’ information needs and provide information.
  • Set up Eurojust historical corporate archives
